A Disney Adventure

Pigeonholed Press has been lucky throughout the past few months of its inception to often receive photos that go well together. This post and its prior are from some of our regular contributors, Raul Lock Wu and Vince Gliemi, and feature the strange and fascinating worlds that exist within our world. From Comic Con to Disney, we see in these images a delight in the fantasy of life. Though the comic underworld and Disney Enterprises have very little in common, they both represent two, and there are many more, of those created environments in which people flock to in order to escape. And yet from escapism to pure entertainment, or perhaps at times even real depth, both bring out the desire individuals have to live outside the world they inhabit everyday, from dressing up as characters and creating surreal environments to paying large fees for what they consider valuable. Pigeonholed Press isn’t always a fan of the overly commercialized aspects of certain industries, but we remain forever grateful and constantly enthralled by the artist’s ability to capture their essence. Welcome to the other side.
